We would like more patients to use the eConsult service to reduce the demand on the telephone system, so that those who cannot go online have improved phone access. It is proving to be very effective both for patients and for the Practice.
Just use the "Get Started" button in the banner below.

The service will ask you for an email address and a telephone number so that you can receive a prompt personal response

The Nunthorpe Surgery remains closed and you must not visit Borough Road unless you have been asked to attend by a clinician following a phone, video or econsult consultation.
Sit and Wait sessions at Borough Road are suspended.

Stay Alert

As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic crisis in the country continues to be a challenge for everyone. It is vital that we all obey the instructions and guidance given by the Government and the NHS, to limit the short and long term impact on ourselves and our country. Things are changing very quickly, please regularly check the advice on the two following links.

Government Advice

NHS Symptom Advice

We have some selected advice below, but it is not exhaustive.

COVID-19 Symptoms - Follow this General Guidance

You only need one symptom to have to take action.

Covid Symptoms

Or Use the 111 online coronavirus service

111 will tell you what to do and help you get a test if you need one.

Call 111 if you cannot get help online. Do not go to places like a GP surgery, hospital or pharmacy.

We now have a new Test and Trace Sevice running nationally.
This Diagram explains:

Test and Trace

Father and childWhilst coronavirus is infectious to children, it is rarely serious. If your child is unwell it is likely to be a non-coronavirus illness, rather than coronavirus itself. Whilst it is extremely important to follow Government advice to stay at home during this period, it can be confusing to know what to do when your child is unwell or injured. Remember that NHS 111, your GP and hospitals are still available for you.

The link here will provide some direction on where to seek help depending on your child's symptoms:

We Encourage and Support SELF-CARE
especially in the winter

There's a great deal that you can do to look after yourself without contacting the GP Practice. This is what we call Self Care. The NHS uses the term "3 before GP".

We have added some Winter guidance.

If your problems persist; are more serious; or you don't
